The village sits on the B2160 in the Weald of Kent, gathered around what is reckoned to be the largest village green in the county, with St Luke's church, a cricket pitch, a pond and two pubs. Weirleigh, on the edge of the village, was the birthplace of the poet Siegfried Sassoon. What Matfield does not have is a railway station. Paddock Wood is roughly three miles away and Tunbridge Wells about six, so any rail journey to an airport begins with a drive and a car park — and for an early flight, before any train runs at all.

- No night rate, ever. The fare at 3am is the fare at 3pm. Most airport departures from Kent are early, so a night surcharge would apply to most of our work — we do not have one.
- Flight tracking included. Not an upsell. It is on every airport booking, in both directions.
- Estate at saloon price. If the bag count needs a bigger boot, you get one and the fare stays the same.
- Straight answers about the train. Paddock Wood is three miles away, so rail is a real option from Matfield and we will tell you when it genuinely works out cheaper for your trip. It costs us one booking and earns the next three.
